ADHD and Menopause Care
ADHD and Menopause Care
If your ADHD feels louder than it used to, we can help
Many women notice that ADHD symptoms become harder to manage during perimenopause and menopause. Focus slips. Overwhelm increases. Emotional reactions feel stronger. For some, this is the first time ADHD is even considered.
You are not imagining it, and it is not a personal failure. Hormonal change can affect attention, mood and cognitive resilience. At Menopause Care, we provide specialist menopause care for women with ADHD, building treatment plans that support both hormonal health and brain function.

When hormones change, your ADHD can change too
Many women first begin to question ADHD during perimenopause or menopause. Changes in hormone levels can affect brain chemistry involved in attention, motivation, mood, and emotional regulation.
These changes can feel subtle at first, or appear suddenly. For some women, symptoms may be entirely new; for others, existing ADHD-related difficulties can become harder to manage during hormonal transition.
How our care works
- 1
Specialist consultation (45 min)
A menopause specialist doctor takes time to explore your symptoms, hormonal stage, medical history, and any existing ADHD diagnosis or concerns.
- 2
Personalised plan
Where appropriate, this may include menopause treatment, lifestyle strategies, or guidance on further assessment (such as referral to a psychiatrist).
- 3
Ongoing review and support
Medication management, blood tests if needed, and continuity of care for as long as you need.
